The fund raising drive for the Diamond Jubilee Appeal continues with another superb event organised by Tracey Lennard and her fundraising sub-committee.

The event which was called Flower Power III was opened by the Mayor, Councillor Ramesh Srivistava, and included demonstrations of present wrapping and flower arranging. As well as the usual Christmas Fayre stalls and tombola, the Friends supporters were entertained by Grandborough Choir and served with delightful mince pies and mulled wine. All in all yet another great event which raised a fabulous £875. Tracey Lennard, chairperson of the fundraising team said “I am so grateful for all the hard work and support from my fellow committee members and the many companies and individuals who have contributed to the various events we have held this year which have raised an amazing £9,900!”

The fundraising drive continues apace with raffle tickets on sale at Rugby Library, Abbey News, Jamesway Travel, Sainsbury’s Clifton Road, M&M Jewellers and at the Tea Bar in the hospital!
