On Thursday 4th December Friends Committee Members, Tracey Lennard and Kathryn Lawrence decorated a tree for the Festival of Christmas Trees at St Andrews Church.
The festival was opened by the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Richard Dodd. This year the festival is raising money for the Friends Diamond Jubilee appeal and the tree decorations symbolise the local and national recognition that the Friends have been honoured with this year – namely the Pride of Rugby Award and the Queens Award for Voluntary Service. The tree and its decorations were donated by Cawston Christmas Trees and Amber Products respectively.
