The last fundraising events of the 2015 were held the week before Christmas.
The week started with a carol concert which included a performance by the Dunchurch Singers and was organised by the Rotary Club of Rugby Dunsmore who donated £155 from the retiring collection.
This was followed by a carol concert organised by our own Tracey Lennard and her team which featured the Warwick Diatonic Choir. Guests enjoyed a glass of wine and Mrs Jones famous mince pies and raised another £679 - bringing the total raised for the Appeal by the team to over £12,000!
On Friday the Christmas Raffle was drawn to round off the year with a near record £2,606!
The raffle was drawn by Su Tarlng who travelled to Argentina and back in August to represent GB in the World Transplant Games. She competed in various events achieving 3 Golds in 20km cycle road race, virtual triathlon and 5km team road run, a further two silvers in 50m breaststroke and individual 5km road race. She received two life saving liver transplants back in 2001 and 2003.She was incredibly proud to wear the British kit and represent our country. Whilst also promoting organ donation. Su said "It is a pleasure to help with the annual Christmas raffle for the Friends of St Cross and to help them in their Diamond Jubilee year which has been so successful."
