New mobility aids help patients move from sitting to standing at the early stage of their therapy.
The Rotunda Transfer Platofrm is used during therapy treatment to facilitate early mobility by encouraging patients to be active during sitting to standing to sitting transfers if they are not yet able to step transfer. It also benefits nursing and therapy staff by providing a safe and easy transfer method for patients, whilst also encouraging the patient to play more of an active role than other transfer equipment, such as the Sara Stedy which is primarily of benefit to patients who may require this piece of equipment during therapy treatment to support early mobility by encouraging patients to be active during sitting to standing transfers.
The Sara Stedy will also benefit patients by providing a safe transfer method with nursing staff, whilst also encouraging the patient to play an active role in that transfer and can also be used to transport patients from their bedside to the bathroom, promoting the privacy and dignity of the patient for personal hygiene activities.
All of this equipment is in regular use in both the elective and trauma sides of Cedar Ward
