The Friends recently donated two Atlas frame walkers which help patients regain mobility after a stroke or an operation.

The use of the frame is demonstrated by Amy Southall and Chetna Khanna, two of the physiotherapists at St Cross, and shows how patients can bear their weight on arm rests. This makes a real difference for patients who cannot place weight on one of their legs or are undertaking rehabilitation after a stroke and are initially unable to use other aids such as crutches or a basic walking frame.
