In October, Friends supporters attended a superb luncheon at Ferguson’s restaurant in the town centre.
They were entertained by Kenny Robinson and Sally Jones whose rendition of lots of favourite Songs from the Shows was interspersed with delightful parodies of popular tunes. The event started with a surprise presentation of a bouquet to Tracey Lennard, the chairperson of the Friends Fund Raising team in recognition of all the hard work she and her team has put into organising this and a wide variety of events over the years. Tracey also received a cheque for £191 from Helen Rathbone who explained that this donation was the proceeds of the Raffle at the Easenhall Fete.
Kathryn Lawrence, Friends Main Committee Member, thanked Tracey and her team, pictured with David Ferguson, Kenny and Sally, for a terrific afternoon and announced that "when the Easenhall Fete donation is added to the fabulous £810 raised today the total for the Diamond Jubilee Appeal will pass £25,000 just 4 months after the appeal was launched in June! Still some way to go to reach our target of at least £60,000 but with the continued support of the community we are very hopeful that this can be achieved."
