The Friends continue to support St Cross while appealing for the Diamond Jubilee Appeal and have recently donated 3 sets of surgical instruments one set of which is pictured being examined by some of the theatre staff.
Ladies from Ball of Yarn, a local group of knitters, auctioned some sample yarn and donated the £20 proceeds to the Appeal and have now offered to knit a menagerie for the ‘Name the cuddly toy’ fundraisers. The first Teddy was named at the Merchants Inn Pub Quiz on Monday 28th July and raised £40 in the process!
The Mayor came along to join our team of collectors at Sainsburys where we raised a fabulous £574 to add to our Diamond Jubilee Appeal. Many thanks to all the staff and customers.
The Friends recently donated two Atlas frame walkers which help patients regain mobility after a stroke or an operation.
