Friends inject support for pain relief in Outpatients

 

The Friends of St Cross have donated the latest ultrasound guided pain relief injection equipment which is set to benefit patients attending the Outpatients department at the Hospital of St Cross, Rugby.

Rugby Ladies Golf Club Donation Seals Successful Appeal

 

The Friends of St Cross Sapphire Anniversary Appeal aimed to raise at least £65,000. Thanks to donations by Rugby Golf Club Ladies Section, and many others over the last 18 months, the total raised when we closed the Appeal was a fantastic £81,000.

A sophisticated scanner will help diagnose glaucoma

 

The Glaucoma team at the Hospital of St Cross has recently taken delivery of an Ocular Coherance Tomography (OCT) Scanner which enables Ophthalmic Technicians to examine patients and produce a report for a consultant to assess whether or not they require specialist intervention or regular monitoring of their condition.

An area outside the Physiotherapy suite at the Hospital of St Cross, Rugby has been transformed to help patient rehabilitation and staff wellbeing thanks to a £2,700 donation from the Friends of St Cross.

A new £1 million purpose built Haematology and Oncology unit has opened its doors at the Hospital of St Cross, Rugby.  The Friends committed our largest ever donation of £200,000 to buy the specialist equipment and furniture within, including the nine treatment chairs and specialist scalp cooling equipment..

Joe Greenwell CBE DL, The High Sheriff of Warwickshire, attended the Friends Board meeting, on Zoom on the 8th of March 2021, and presented the Charity with a High Sheriff's Award.

Film fans are in for a treat after a generous donation was presented to the Friends of the Hospital of St Cross. A selection of DVDs have been provided by Technicolor, based on the Swift Valley Industrial Estate in Rugby.

Doctor says our PPE response helped keep virus cases low
