The Friends of St Cross have donated four new chairs which will help to improve the patient experience at the Urgent Care Centre.
Nell Jones, the Urgent Care Nurse Manager at St Cross, explained “These chairs are more comfortable than treatment trolleys for patients waiting for assessment or transport. Two of them are located in a side room which provides a better setting for holding sensitive conversations than the treatment cubicles. The other two are kept in the Paediatric bay where we find that young patients are more relaxed sitting in this type of chair when they are not receiving treatment.”
