We are aiming to raise at least £65,000 so that we can continue making a difference for patients attending the Hospital of St Cross and the NHS Community Service in Rugby. We will publish, here and on social media, some reminders of the support you have enabled us to provide and some of the donations we receive towards the Appeal. Due to the pandemic the appeal was not launched until 1st October 2020 and will run until December 2021. Click here to donate!!

Four runners from the Warwickshire Pathology Network, which provides the Blood Taking Service at St Cross, took part in the Run for Rotary at Draycote Water on the 28th of September 2014.

The team who are based at the George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton and were sponsored by friends and colleagues from the hospitals in Rugby, Nuneaton, Coventry and Warwick.

When all the money is collected they hope to have raised a magnificent £1,000, double the target they set themselves, for the Friends Diamond Jubilee Appeal which will fund the project to relocate the Blood Taking Service at St Cross.

Team leader Nigel Blease said – “I was pleased to have recovered from an injury, which I suffered 4 weeks ago, in time to do the run in under an hour and that Ami was so keen to support the charity that she started running 2 weeks ago and managed the run in 1 hour and 5 minutes - in the middle of the pack!”
