Children’s Outpatients have a new location in part of the former Hawthorn Ward and the Friends were delighted to be asked to support the move

Healthcare Assistant, Donna Davis explained that previously the staff used a tape measure attached to the wall which was not as accurate as the new device and accuracy is essential when prescribing drugs for young patients.
The Children’s Outpatients move will enable the service to expand slightly and means that the hospital can then relocate the Therapy department currently housed at one end of Cedar to Rowan, which will then make room for the creation of an additional 6 beds on Cedar ward later on this year.
