An anonymous supporter constructed a 7 foot tall obelisk, which was kindly installed by Vinci Facilities, next to the entrance to the Friends Blood Taking Unit.
Senior Phlebotomist, Babs Langridge was on hand to thank Marie and Reg, of Rimo Growers of Medda Place in Dunchurch, who came along to plant a variety of flowers and bulbs which they have donated and will flower in the coming months.
Willy Goldschmidt, Chairman of the Friends of St Cross, said “It’s great how local businesses support the hospital in a variety of ways such as this. We look forward to seeing some extra colour in this area which I am sure will be appreciated by the hundreds of people pass it by every day!”
