We are aiming to raise at least £65,000 so that we can continue making a difference for patients attending the Hospital of St Cross and the NHS Community Service in Rugby. We will publish, here and on social media, some reminders of the support you have enabled us to provide and some of the donations we receive towards the Appeal. Due to the pandemic the appeal was not launched until 1st October 2020 and will run until December 2021. Click here to donate!!

The Mayor of Rugby presented two Special Appreciation Awards to the Trustees at our Black Tie Dinner Dance

Mayors AwardThe Mayor came to the Feathers and Fizz Black Tie Dinner dance and re-presented the Special Appreciation Award which she had previously presented to the Trustees when she invited them to the Mayor's Parlour. She also made a surprise presentation to Tracey Lennard who has been organising social fundraising events for many years!

Cllr Maggie O'Rourke said after the event "I had the great honour of presenting two of the Mayor Special Awards. The first to the Friends of the Hospital of St Cross in recognition of the outstanding contributions they make to our local Hospital St Cross. There dedication and hard work has improved accessibility and the general experience of patients and visitors attending St Cross hospital.
The second award went to Tracy Lennard who hosted the fundraising event last night. Tracy is the longest serving Trustee of the charity with 24 years service.

Tracy’s energy, drive and enthusiasm have led to hundreds of thousands pounds being raised to buy equipment and providing the little extras that help to improve the patient experience. Thank you Willy Goldschmidt, the President of the Friends of the Hospital of St Cross, for nominating Tracey and many thanks to their Chair Doug and his lovely wife for looking after us last night. Xx"

The event raised a fabulous £8,874 for the Charity.
