Rugby Borough Council planting celebrates our 70th Anniversary
Rugby Borough Council came up with the idea to mark the charity's milestone and invited members of the Friends to attend the planting at the beds near the park's iconic Echo sculpture.

8 Year old cyclist supports the Appeal
8 year old Mithra Sathiyamurthi, a pupil from Abbots Farm Junior School, has completed a 62 kms cycle ride from Rugby Station round several villages in Warwickshire.
First Platinum Anniversary Appeal project announced
Our Platinum Anniversary Appeal will support the purchase a second ultrasound machine for Maternity Services in Rugby which would significantly increase the number of antenatal scans that can be carried out.

Potentially life-saving research for members of the British Armed Forces is set to be carried out at the Hospital of St Cross in Rugby.
Volunteers wanted!
We have been asked to expand the Ward Trolley Service, Mealtime Companion and Patient Visiting Services. We also need to fill vacancies in the rotas for some of our other services which occur from time to time.

Fabulous fundraiser Tracey Lennard has been honoured for her efforts over 25 years during which she and her team have raised more than £200,000 for The Friends.
AGM 2024 Lauched our Platinum Appeal
At the AGM, Doug Jones, Chair of the Charity, was delighted to accept a donation from the Rugby Male Voice Choir as the first contribution to the Platinum Appeal which will celebrate 70 years of making a difference at the Hospital of St Cross and in the Community Service in Rugby.
AGM 2024 Summary and presentations
On the 4th of September 2024, The Friends welcomed some 62 members and guests to the 69th AGM to celebrate another year of outstanding support for the Hospital in Rugby.
We are calling for more volunteers
We need some 20 volunteers to re-establish our Patient Visiting Service and expand our Mealtime Companion and Meet and Greet Services.
